Have Books or Media You’d Like Picked Up?

Not every pickup is an entire estate or wall of books. If you have books or related media you no longer need, send us a few photos and basic details.

We review household collections throughout South Florida, including books from moves and downsizing, shelves or boxes of books, inherited collections, vinyl records, CDs, DVDs and larger personal libraries. No need to catalog every title before contacting us.

What we review

Books, Records & Media Pickup

Collections may include hardcovers, paperbacks, fiction, nonfiction, history, biography, art, photography, cookbooks, children’s books, religious books, academic titles, textbooks, reference books, vintage books and complete sets.

We also review collections that include vinyl records and LPs, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray, audiobooks, cassettes and related physical media. Older books without ISBNs or barcodes are welcome in the photos. We look at the collection as a whole, including contents, condition, quantity, location and access.

A South Florida specialty

Large Book Collection Pickup in South Florida

When a collection is too large for a few car trips, the logistics change.

We are particularly useful for hundreds or thousands of books, full shelving walls, dozens of boxes, multiple rooms, garages, storage units and personal libraries accumulated over decades. Books are dense and heavy; stairs, elevators, parking and vehicle space can turn a simple cleanout into days of work.

  • Books can still be on the shelves
  • No complete catalog is required
  • Books and media can be shown together
  • Deadlines and access can be discussed early

Families and estate representatives

Estate & Inherited Book Collection Pickup

Clearing a parent’s books or a lifetime library can involve unfamiliar subjects, older volumes, several rooms and a home-sale or closing deadline. Family may be out of state, or books may remain after an estate sale.

You do not need to identify every title before reaching out. Wide shelf or box photos are enough to begin; include a few close-ups of older, signed or unusual books and any records, CDs or DVDs stored with the collection.

Moves, smaller homes and senior transitions

Moving & Downsizing Book Pickup

Books are often the heaviest part of a move and can use a surprising amount of truck space. A photo review can help when someone is moving to a smaller home, condo, retirement community or assisted-living residence, or preparing a property for sale.

Contact us before doing hours of unnecessary lifting or boxing. If the books are still on shelves, photograph them there.

A practical pickup option

When Donating Books Yourself Isn’t Practical

Libraries, charities, Friends groups, schools and thrift stores can be good options when the books fit their current policies, they have capacity and you can transport the material. Moving dozens of heavy boxes or an entire home library is not practical for everyone.

South Florida Book Pickup offers another reviewed pickup option. It is an independent pickup service, not a charitable organization, and does not provide tax-deductible donation receipts.

Worth a closer photo

Older, Signed & Unusual Books

Old does not automatically mean valuable, but certain material is useful to highlight: signed or inscribed books, first editions, limited editions, fine-press books, art and photography volumes, regional history, specialized scholarly collections, unusual complete sets and antiquarian material.

Include readable close-ups of anything distinctive along with wide photos of the full collection. This is not a formal appraisal, and no purchase or offer is promised.

A focused local resource

Book Pickup for Estate & Moving Professionals

When books and media become their own workstream, senior move managers, professional organizers, estate-sale companies, estate representatives, real estate agents, movers, property managers and cleanout companies can send photos for a quick first review.

Senior moves and organizing

Useful when a client has shelves or boxes that will not fit the next home and the move date is firm.

Estates and property deadlines

Helpful when books remain after a sale, family is out of state or a property must be listed or cleared.

Moving and cleanout teams

A local contact for the book-and-media portion of a larger project.

Ongoing professional relationships

Send the collection photos and project basics whenever a client needs a practical review.

Libraries, Schools, Churches, Offices & Organizations

Organizations can contact us about library excess or deaccessioned material, Friends-sale leftovers, classroom or media-room cleanouts, church collections, professional office libraries, nonprofit collections, business libraries and books held in storage.

Send photos of the overall quantity and a short description of the material. No institutional relationship is assumed.

The details that help

No Catalog Required — Start With a Few Photos

Show the collection

Take wide photos of the shelves, rooms, boxes or storage area.

Share the location

Give the pickup city and mention stairs, elevators, gates, parking or loading access.

Estimate the amount

A rough number of shelves, boxes or rooms is enough.

Add useful context

Include any deadline, general subjects and photos of records, CDs or DVDs.

Close-ups help for unusual or older books, but you do not need to scan ISBNs, make a spreadsheet, list every title or box an entire library just to contact us.
